Beauty

"The beauty of you is how you wear who you are"

"Beauty just comes from the courage to just be yourself"

A very beautiful intro, right? Wondering why I am using the word 'beauty' this often? Yes, your guess may be right. Now in this post, I will be sharing my perspective about beauty.

When someone asked me what beauty is, I was like, 'Beauty? Beauty, it is...' Actually, I found myself momentarily speechless. It literally made me dumb. I searched for words to answer, but I didn't know what to say. It was then that I embarked on a journey to explore this elusive concept, and this blog post is the fruit of that quest.
First things first, let's make it clear;
Beauty... Am I here to review or talk about makeup products or something related to it?

Absolutely not. Then, what is beauty? Generally, beauty is defined as the quality of a person or object that gives pleasure to the senses and pleases human eyes. Now let me tell you a 'kutty' (small) story about Esther Honing.
Esther, a journalist and freelancer, once hired individuals from over 25 countries to digitally alter a photo of herself with no makeup, revealing her natural self.

The results were astonishing. The Philippines added red lips and long dark hair, Bulgaria bestowed baby blue eyes, India defined her eyebrows, and many more alterations were done.

This experiment speaks volumes about the subjective nature of beauty. In a nutshell, beauty is truly in the eyes of the beholder.

Yet nowadays, both men and women are falling into the trap of defining beauty by social standards. The media and corporations portray different beauty standards. Women are told they must have smoky eyes, chiseled noses, flawless fair skin, an hourglass figure, and more. Men are expected to be tall, muscular, and sport a beard, among other criteria.

The sad reality is that we are influenced by these, and we consider these as beauty standards. Let's think about it - are there any standards for beauty? Absolutely not. Then, what defines beauty? Is there anything that defines beauty? Yes, there is something that defines beauty, and it is called inner beauty. It is something that people tend to cultivate within themselves, and it is a choice we make to get rid of negativity and become better people. In my opinion, beauty is just within ourselves, and it is all about the way we see. Beauty is everywhere, in everything, but we fail to notice it.

The smile on an old wrinkled face is beauty.
The child feeding their pet with love is beauty.
The confidence of an acid attack survivor is beauty.
The happiness of a doctor after saving a life is beauty.
The joy of an army soldier returning home is beauty.
The sunrise, the walk in the rain, the quiet night sky, freezing snow, dew on leaves - everything is beautiful. Let's start seeing beauty within us and around us.

Ever heard of 'beauty sickness'? It's weird, but it does exist. It is a term used when an individual's energy, emotion, money, and time are all wasted in worrying about how they look, causing us to miss out on life's social events. Instead, we should pay attention to self-grooming, fostering confidence that radiates from within.
If we have pretty eyes and a nose with scars and pores, accepting the pretty eyes and ignoring the nose is not what I meant. Embrace your uniqueness. Accept your imperfections along with your perfections. True beauty lies in this acceptance. Let's accept who we are and develop our skills. Let us begin to walk with pride in our eyes, warmth in our hearts, mindful thoughts, conquering plans, and as a confident person as a whole.

I just want to say,
Be whoever you want to be because that is who you are truly!
Whoever you are, whatever they say, be strong, be different,
BE 'YOU' TIFUL.

Have BE'YOU'TIFUL days ahead.!"
